After subsitute teaching in the Pre-K classroom one day, Mrs. Settles thought how much she’d like to keep teaching. God was listening because that same night Mrs. Wells, the Pre-K teacher at that time, called to say that her family situation had changed and she couldn’t teach the 2nd semester. Lumen Christi is delighted to have Mrs. Settles join the faculty. Mrs. Settles is the mother of three Lumen Christi students. As a stay-at-home mom, she volunteered at a pregnancy center and more recently started working part-time in the lunchroom at Roncalli High School.
"We came to Lumen Christi because we had a friend that sends her daughter there and my sister had gone for a tour and loved it. Then she showed me the video you guys posted on Facebook about how your main goal is to help the children become saints. That really convinced me. So, we gave it a try.
We have loved everything about Lumen Christi. We love how faith driven it is and the Catholic faith is the main priority. Also, we love that with the smaller class sizes our children are able to get better individual learning. Our kids are flourishing and are happier than they’ve ever been in school. The teachers are so welcoming and the communication is above and beyond. All of the families of the children who attend have been so warm and welcoming and it really feels like such a loving community.
I honestly have nothing bad to say about Lumen Christi. Only great things. I rant and rave about how much we love Lumen Christi to anyone who asks about the kids’ new school and tell them all these reasons why they should send their kids there.
