I grew up on the southeast side of Indianapolis and attended St. Jude Grade School and Roncalli High School. I received a Bachelor's degree in Biology at Marian University to round out my Catholic education.
I began with an internship at the Department of Health and then began working at Roche Diagnostics as a scientist.
I was introduced to home schooling by a friend when my daughter Anna was born. Then a few years after my son was born, I took them to Catholic Schoolhouse, a home school group. The first year, I was a substitute for the program; the second year, I filled the nursery helper position. Then Holy Spirit needed a full-time science teacher, and so God led me to be a full-time teacher and I enjoyed it.
I have always loved Lumen Christi's program, curricula and faith-filled foundation. I joined Lumen Christi's staff in the fall of 2019. I am excited to teach and be taught as we are all on this journey together.
Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received - only what you have given: a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice and courage.
