Right to Life of Indianapolis Essay Contest – Grades 7-12 – LCCS students regularly place among the winners in this annual competition.
National Geographic Geography Bee – Grades 4-8 – LCCS winners have advanced to the state-level bee.
National Endowment for the Arts Shakespeare Competition – Grades 7-12 – This annual recitation contest is attended by the whole school.
CYO Science Fair – Grades 5-8 – Science classes in the middle grades do projects every other year, with winners entered in the CYO contest.
School Choruses – Grades 2-4 and 5-8 – An integral part of the music curriculum, the school choruses perform regularly at parish Masses and Advent Lessons and Carols, and at special events, which have included in recent years Pueri Cantores Indianapolis, St. John the Evangelist Choral Festival, and the Archbishop’s blessing of the Latin School Military Memorial Plaque.
ArchIndy Youth Choir
Open to all singers in 5th-12th grade throughout the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. Our mission is to bring together youth to grow closer to Christ through beautiful, high-quality sacred music.

Newspaper – Grades 7-12 – The Bleat, our school newspaper, is published monthly by a student staff.
Spring Drama Production – Grades 7-12 – In recent years, LCCS students have performed The Scarlet Pimpernel, Canterbury Tales, and A Tale of Two Cities at McGowan Hall.
Agape Performing Arts – Grades 7-12 – Some LCCS students also participate in this independent activity located in Greenwood. https://agapeshows.org
Special Class Presentations – Classes prepare presentations for parents and other students. Examples of regular presentations are the All Saints Presentation (Grade 4) and Wax Museum (Grade 5).
Lumen Christi CYO Teams – LCCS participates in CYO leagues when there are sufficient numbers and interest the upper grades and high school to organize teams. We regularly field teams in boys basketball and girls and co-ed volleyball, we have also participated in track and field, and we anticipate teams in girls basketball and kickball.
Parish CYO Teams – Many LCCS students participate in a variety of CYO sports through their parishes.
Homeschool Teams – LCCS students may be eligible to participate on homeschool teams. One of our recent high school graduates played for a national champion homeschool basketball team. An extensive list of homeschool teams is included here.
Travel Teams and Club Teams – LCCS students have played for travel and club teams, including the Indianapolis Rowing Club, the Royal Irish Rugby Club, the Indiana Irish girls softball team, and the Indiana Bulls and Indiana Mustangs baseball teams.
